Day 1: Departure

Day 2: Chengdu - The Provincial museum


Chengdu is the capital of the province of Sichuan and its economic center. Chengdu is known for its historic vestiges, its subtropical landscapes and its natural reserve of giant pandas.

  • The Provincial museum hosts nearly 40,000 paintings and calligraphies. There, you will discover the past everyday life of several ethnics minorities.

Day 3: Chengdu – The Wuhou Temple, green tea tasting and visit of Wolong


  • The Wuhou temple is dedicated to Zhuge Liang (181-234), the Prime Minister of the Shu state at the time of the Three Kingdoms. It was rebuilt in 1672 under the emperor Kangxi of the Qing's reign.
  • Green tea tasting. Through the town's discovery, you will stop in one of its house, where you will have the pleasure to taste the region's green tea.
  • Wolong. In 1963, in this natural reserve, was created a research center on the giant panda.

Day 4: Chengdu / Guanghan / Mianyang – Sanxingdui Museum



  • Sanxingdui museum. The bronze statues of this museum remain a real enigma for the historians!

Day 5: Mianyang / Pingwu / Jiuzhaigou – Libai Poet’s house


  • Libai Poet’s house exhibits the works of the biggest and most translated romantic poet of the dynasty of Tang ( 618-907 ).
  • Jiuzhaigou is a luxurious alpine valley enameled by turquoise blue lakes. Jiuzhaigou, also called " the nine villages' ravine ", owes its name to nine Tibetan Baima villages spread in the valley.

Day 6: Jiuzhaigou – Natural reserve of Jiuzhaigou


  • Natural reserve of Jiuzhaigou. Very woody and surrounded by snowy peaks, where takins, gold-colored monkeys and pandas live, this natural reserve constitutes a national treasure.

Day 7: Jiuzhaigou / Huanglong / Songpan – The National Park of Huanglong


  • The National Park of Huanglong is scattered over ponds and waterfalls. At the top, you will be able to visit the Yellow Dragon temple (Huanglong) which gave its name to the valley.

Day 8: Songpan - Zhaga's waterfall


  • Songpan is well-known for its horse's rides. The surroundings are charming, with its villages made of wood chalets with tiled roofs, underlined with a line of lime.
  • The Zhaga's waterfall reaches 104m high and is 35m wide. It's the highest waterfall of China.

Day 9: Songpan / Dujiangyan - The Dujiangyan Irrigation Project and Erwang Miao Temple


  • The Dujiangyan irrigation project continues to regulate the waters of the river Minjiang and to distribute them on the fertile lands of the plains of Chengdu.
  • The Erwang Miao temple is also called "Temple of the two Kings", as it honors Li Bing and his son who created the Dujiangyan irrigation project.

Day 10: Dujiangyan / Leshan / Emeishan – Mount Leishan, Oriental Buddha park and Wuyou Temple


  • The Mount Leishan is 1700m high. From there, you will see rice fields staged in vertiginous terraces, in side of mountains.
  • The Wuyou temple was built under the Tang dynasty and was restored during the Ming and Qing eras. Besides, it hosts 1,000 terracotta arhats with varied expressions and positions.
  • Oriental Buddha park. It gathers a collection of 3,000 Buddhas, statues and figurines from all over Asia. The masterpiece is a 170m lying Buddha which was realized in nearly two years.

Day 11: Emeishan – Emeishan and the Golden Summit Temple


  • Emeishan. The Emei Shan is one of the fourth Buddhist mountains of the Middle Empire. Dotted with steep rocks and vertiginous abysses it is cheered up by butterflies and azaleas. It constitutes a magnificent natural reserve.
  • The Golden Summit temple was entirely rebuilt. It is now covered with enameled tiles and surrounded with white marble railings. At its origins, its roof was covered with bronze, hence its name, "Jin Ding", meaning "golden roof".

Day 12: Eimeishan / Zigong – The Guide Ziqin's palace and Museum of dinosaurs


  • Guide Ziqin's palace. Located in the museum of salt in Zigong, this monument is a masterpiece combination of Ming and Qing architectural styles with regional style.
  • Museum of dinosaurs. The exhibitions are mainly about the fossils discovered in the region.

Day 13: Zigong / Dazu - Beishan, the North's hill and Baoding Shan, the Treasure's summit hill


Dazu is 83 km west from Chongqing. The Dazu grottoes gather 75 sites and count nearly 50,000 sculptures realized in more than 1,000 years.

  • Beishan, the North's hill. According to the inscriptions, this site was originally a military camp and the most ancient sculptures would have been ordered by a general.
  • Baoding Shan, the Treasure's summit hill. It is totally part of the environment, as a sculpture close to the lying Buddha integrates a resurgent spring.

Day 14: Dazu / Chongqing / Shanghai – The Bund and Nanjing road


Shanghai is now the real capital of China. This megalopolis, once a small fishing village, has become the Chinese center of business and finance, while being one of the most active ports in China.

  • The Bund is the most famous place of the city and extends over 1.6 kilometers along the Huangpu River. It was once known as the "Wall Street of Asia" and is lined with buildings in the style of the 1930's.
  • Nanjing road is known as the fifth avenue of Shanghai. It offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, gift shops and night clubs.
