Day 2: Kunming – Flowers and Birds market and Yuantong Temple

Discover Kunming, the "city of the eternal spring", also famous for both natural and touristic riches resources.

• The flowers and birds market occupies a set of alleys lined with plane trees and old wooden houses, and sells birds, fishes, antiques, jade, tobacco and plants.
• Yuantong temple. This sanctuary is one of oldest Buddhist temples of the city, and was built under the Tang in 618.

Day 3: Kunming – The Shilin Stone Forest, the oldest Pharmacy of Kunming and the Golden Temple

• The Shilin stone forest. According to the legend, the Immortals cut a mountain into a labyrinth to offer a hiding place to the lovers. The karstic rocks, raise themselves towards the sky such as trees, hence the naming of "stone forest".
• The oldest pharmacy of Kunming is an ancient house with Chinese red wood walls, and it sell every sorts of spices and healing plants, while offering free consultations to the customers.
• The Golden temple. At the top of the Mingfeng Mountain raises the serene Golden temple. The temple is made by 250 tons of massive bronze which makes it the most important bronze construction of China.

Day 4: Dali – The Erhai lake, the Stone village of Xizhou, the Zhoucheng village, the Three Teas Ceremony, Batik factory and The Chongsheng Three Pagodas

The city of Dali is at the crossroads of the Yunnan-Tibet and Yunnan-Burma roads. It is the administrative center of the autonomous department of Bai, on the banks of the lake Erhai.

• The Erhai lake is the 7th fresh water lake of China. Its name comes from its earshape like.
• The stone village of Xizhou. Wander through its bustling market, where a crowd of colored Bai costumes gathers and discover the traditional houses with sculptured canopies gates.
• Zhoucheng village. With its beautiful traditional houses, this village is one of the most important among the Bai community. It is also famous for its blue tinted clothes.
• The three teas ceremony. Preparing and drinking tea is a real art which became popular under the Tang dynasty (618-907). It is always linked with meditation.
• Batik factory. The batik (Javanese term) is a dyeing technique, with a wax reserve allowing the obtaining of a pattern in negative.
• The Chongsheng three pagodas are the oldest Buddhist buildings of Dali. Among these three pagodas, the most important one, named Qianxun, dates back from the Tang dynasty.

Day 5: Lijiang –The Black Dragon Pond, the Dongba Institute and Baisha village

Lijiang is in the North of Dali and close to the Tibet, snuggled up in the heart of a magnificent valley. Lijiang constitutes a pleasant stopping place, a magnificent maze of paved alleys, old wooden buildings, canals and markets.

• The Black Dragon pond offers a splendid view of the Jade Dragon Mount which reflects in the pond. It's a beautiful Chinese garden where pagodas alternate with white marble bridges.
• The Dongba Institute is specialized in Naxi culture, which is a religious blend based on animism, Lamaism, Buddhism and Taoism.
• The Baisha village was the historic capital of the Naxi kingdom and remains the best place to discover the Naxi culture.

Day 6: Lijiang – Tiger Leaping Gorges

• The Tiger Leaping Gorges offer a splendid view of the swift turbulent stream of the Golden River. A place not to be missed !

Day 7: Tiger Leaping Gorges - Jinsha River

• Jinsha River. Your hike will be made through the protected region of Lijiang, along the Jinsha River. Discover spectacular landscapes consisted of rivers, mountains, rare plants, animals and fascinating ethnic minorities. Your trek of 20 kilometers will be made in 6 hours; you will cross the river by boat to join Daju, which includes some isolated Naxi villages.

Day 8: Tiger Leaping Gorges - Villages of Daju, Minying and Guole

• Villages of Daju, Minying and Guole. Take advantage of a 15 kilometers trek, always along the banks of the Jinsha river, but this time, towards the village of Guole, one of these small friendly villages, surrounded with fields in terraces, terribly vertiginous!

Day 9: Guole

Guole. You'll start in the early morning with a 15 kilometer trek along the Jinsha River to the Stone Town, where you will have lunch and then visit the town. In the afternoon, sightsee along the Jinsha river valley.

Day 10: Guole / Lijiang – The Yulong Mountain

Trekking to the Mount Yulong. Full day trekking excursion to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the snow-covered and fog-enlaced mountain, which resembles a jade dragon lying in the clouds, hence its name.  Every sight brings a surprise and every step takes you to a new scenery. The mountain is also a sanctuary for rare animals and wild plants. You will come back to Lijiang in the evening.

Day 11: Lijiang - The Yulong Mountain

Trekking to Mount Yulong and return to Lijiang for a Chinese traditional massage.
