Tourism for Developement:

Poverty is definitely not conciliable with a harmonious development of tourism, which is the reason why Tourism for Development has decided to use this market to finance economic development programs in the countries visited, such as China.

ChinaVeo contributes to their action to create a new way of traveling as well as a new image of tourism. Various projects initiated by experienced and efficient non-governmental organizations are selected in different regions of the world.

A Pleines Mains:

This group organizes fund raising to support the poor population in Shanghai, but they also develop and create development projects all around China. We thus became partners in their action and are linked to a program organized in Guangdong to cure people suffering from leprosy.

Couleurs de Chine:

ChinaVeo supports a few of these children in order to give them a chance to know a better future. We also support the construction of schools and the possibility for their teachers to benefit from better trainings.

You can also contribute to this action and allow children to go to primary school by giving 50 € a year. With this amount, it is possible to pay the tuition fees.

ChinaVeo and Couleurs de Chine are in partnership to offer you the opportunity to meet your sponsored child while you are on your trip in China, and thus you will discover and share the every day life of those children.

Shambhala Foundation:

Its purpose is to support and promote various projects for ethnic diversity and culturally sustainable development which uphold or advance alternative models to those espoused by mainstream institutions associated to the Washington Consensus. Indeed, the building blocks for sustainable development lie in the cultures of the people concerned. They have the right to determine the direction of their own economic development and cultural identity.

We decided to support their initiative in favor of handicapped persons living in Lhasa. Indeed, as we feel very concerned by sustainable development issues in China, we have committed ourselves to a project undertaken by a former monk who established the Lhasa Jatson Welfare Handicraft Co. Ltd. The objective is to set up a factory for handicapped persons. The company’s factory only manufactures traditional Tibetan handicraft products, ranging from dance costumes to Tibetan paper, incense, medicine and other items. This keeps alive these very special, unique traditions. The distribution and sale of such products enhances awareness of Tibetan culture.

ChinaVeo buys bags manufactured by the factory that employs only handicapped persons, and thus participates in the project of providing them not only with income, housing and hope, but also a self-sustaining community.
